England have went backwards under Cappello. Surely the man for the job is Harry Rednapp
Did anyone watch Cappello's interview after the match!! He cant understand f**kin english and makes no sense. What a waste of money. And Stevey G has been watchin to much of Emile Heskey could not hit a barn door

Can't believe he brought Heskey on (can't believe he selected him, full stop). OK game was over by then, but still................
Need to retire Capello (too stubborn and blinkered) along with half that squad. James, Defoe and Milner are the only ones who showed any class whatsoever. Any talk of the 'Golden Generation' I'm afraid is restricted to their pay packets.
Hate to say it, but bring on Harry Redknapp. He's well known for bringing youngsters through, that's what we need now. Otherwise going into Euro 2012 with same team (and maybe Aaron Lennon FFS )
Good luck to Germany, fully deserved their win.

Luckily i didn't watch the match but I did watch the F1.
Hamilton came second even with a drive thru, but it was magic to watch Alonso throwing out his dummy again and only coming 9th and to watch him being overtaken in the last lap by Kybioshi
o happy days.

Well said DNC but being a Spurs fan I dont want to lose Harry to England even though he would be the mann for the job. 2 goals down and he brings Hesky on Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha what a ****. Got Lennon on the bench who can run at people and Crouch who has got a great England scoring record and you cant take that away from him. Got what they deserved F..K ALL out of that world cup.

capello's a tit...england need 3 goals and he brings on heskey (not slating heskey) but he's not a goal scorer, Rooney didnt show up all through the tornement, Barry's useless! should have played the long ball game in my eyes...with lennon and crouch, a passing game against germany is no use, their keeper was nervy in the air so thats where we should have concentrated. Goal line technology is a must full stop!
sumed up...... wrong players, wrong formation, and a manager that doesnt listen.

Did we realy expect this team to win.
Even before the world cup started they were not playing as a proper team.
We would have done better with the under 21 team at least they are playing as a team
Still on the plus side most of the players today will be to old to play again
So we should have a better team next time

For me, it's either Stuart Pearce, who has done well with the under 21's, or Roy Hodgson, who has had every team he's managed playing above themselves.
What we DO need is a new start, and a rule that says the MANAGER has to have been able to have played for the country. No more foreigners, please.

To be honest, it was the best match i have ever watched in the world cup. It just shows how crap england is, LMFAO. And i lost £50.00, i had Germany 3-0 win. And who says the Scots are tight. Get it up ya :-)

Answer to the OPs question is "very" unfortunately.
Though they threatened to score on numerous occasions they didn't play as a team. That 3rd goal was well taken but honestly, 9 players in the German box hoping for a miracle ball when the 10th lost it?!?!
A shame really as no other home nations representation at these finals.
Was listening to the Dutch bloke (who's name I'll remember soon...) Edgar Davids? Agree with the commentators AFTER the match... Something badly wrong in the England setup at the moment. Would have been amusing to see one of them being negative BEFORE the match to open dialogue, argument etc...
As a Welshman, shame to see UK now wholly out of the game. Though I feel there's some real humour to come in the next few weeks as TPTB try to blame everyone but themselves.
