Default hks turbo timer

just fitted a hks turbo timer type 0
everything is fine except when you switch the car off you cant lock the doors until the timer counts down to zero and the engine stops.. which seems a little pointless to me!! has anyone else fitted one to a 04sti?
not sure if im missing something

I just bought a car with one of these crappy things on and they are a pain in the ***. And pointless - if you've driven hard before stopping then you might as well sit in the car for a minute before switching off as you can't alarm the car with the timer anyway, and if that is a problem (see below) then just take it easy for the last mile and switch off immediately.

Stop for petrol and everyone thinks you are a prat or thief if you start filling up with the car running.

Get home late at night and get on everyone's wick because they want to sleep, not listen to a noisy car for no apparent reason.

If it is easy to remove then it's on borrowed time.

Ive got one aswell but never use it. I am usually driving slow for the last few minutes as im in a 30mph limit most times before im about to park so the car has had plenty of time to cool down.

Driving off boost fo the last mile of any journey will do more for cooling than sitting idleing every day of the week.

I would seriously remove it and sell it, you don't need one on the water cooled turbo that the 04sti has.
