I`d go walbro, much cheaper( got mine new 75 inc p&p) and supplies better pressure levels. I think JollyGreenMonster has a fitting guide to help somwhere on here, as you ideally want to use original pump sock etc

cheers for replies.
is the walbro not a like for like swap then ?
i had fitted a 2003 pump, which was smaller, just needed to adapt the housing bracket a bit, but that failed,so am now back on my original pump which doesnt supply good pressure from 8-10 hrs of non starting, once running, its fine
with regards to the FPR, if the standard one is no good sometimes with the walbro, which FPR is good to get ?
cheers again

cheers for the link, always wary tho of products that are "better" than others yet alot cheaper ??
what was it like to fit, do you have to modify the cars wiring or just the pumps wiring, dont want to cut the cars wiring, dont mind doing the pump but not car harness plug etc
cheers

I would take the £10 posted offer one above if I was you .... standard is always best, the car is set up for it.
Uprated pumps are a folly - the Pressure Regulator limits the pressure - and most of the fuel pumped is returned to the tank ..... pointless pumping more than you need and a standard pump does the job nicely.
The word 'uprated' is over-used in car modding .... it could have a wire that is thicker than standard, and that means it's 'uprated'? The gullible fall for it time and time again.

its just the pump wiring that you need to connect up , just 2 wires , don't have to change any of the cars wiring

cool, cheers guys, the seller sent me the instructions to fit, no different to fitting the standard one apart from 2 small adjustments, 1 the rubber bung (if thats needed ?) and fitting it to the bracket as its slightly bigger, no problems there either,i had to fit a smaller one (from a newer model) so thats easy too
he`s on hols now so will order when he gets back
cheers again
