where do the traders get their JDM's?
Just sniffing the usual sources and noticed there is a lot of tasty classic metal available.
Where do all the traders get them from - do they have contacts in Japan or do they buy them from a dock auction? If so where?
Many thanks
matt

They tell you that they have a 'contact in Japan', but in truth: most buy from docks auctions. Its easy to spot when you know, I suppose.
Simon (actually had a man in Japan & picked his own cars from the thousands listed at auctions daily)

To be honest- you will get a much better deal over here just now.
I have had people this spring asking for me to find them cars in Japan through my company but in each case it has come back as a resounding "not for as good a deal as you will get 10miles down the road!" Lol.
Although the example of the car will in most cases be cleaner from Japan (talking about older cars...) the cost will be higher than it will here
A couple have been adamant and still gone down the import route but I personally wouldn't do it- the UK is a total buyers market at the moment!
