Mid 90's classics....tell me everything!
Sorry maybe a bit of a big question to answer!
Is there any buyers info on mid 90's classics, what to look for, specs etc?
In particularly for the Wagon WRX if it makes a difference.
Thanks people.

late 90's cars are better, the V5 & V6 models, better brakes, better interior, revised engine, etc... look on the SIDC FAQ to see how they changed the Classic over the years
I take it you're now considering that blokes tidy Classic wagon?
wrong car for you IMO

if you thought the Brembo's on a newage STI weren't great, wait until you try the brakes on an early Classic
but I'd have thought this would be too old for you for a start?
an old car like that will have stonechips, car park dings and there's also the issue of rust, so knowing how picky you are with nearly new cars, this would be a nightmare for you, LOL
the later UK Classics are a better car though, revised engine, easier to remap, greater tuning potential, better brakes, nicer interior, etc, as well as the facelifted looks
some nice late UK Classics out there though, the RB5 & P1 for special editions, or a Turbo 2000, then there is the Jap selection, the STI Version 5 & 6 are superb

although having now seen the photos & spec of the car Stu is talking about, I can see why he's keen, it is in amazing condition and issues like the crap early brakes have been rectified, it's a very good example

Yup it looks like it.
For 16 years old its in awesome condition, i looked at a couple of Impreza's and Evo's which were 2-3 years old and i'd go as far as saying this car is in better condition!!

Brakes will be relatively crap. Though as someone said. Any braking system should be capable of stopping quickly at least once. Otherwise, it's knackered.
Mid-90s at least you won't have the 1999/2000 MAF issues...
