I have only ever used Garmin and never had a problem with them, except the first one the lead that connects to the back of the unit got loose and was a bit tempermental on charging, but that was after 3 years of abuse in my work van. Got my current Garmin of ebay, bargin at £76 and hardly used, mint condition, £199 in halfords.

TomTom are fun and funky but the after sales is ****. We'd phone them up and some times noone will answer the phone or if they did they where cluless. Thats why We only sell and use Garmin. The after sales is first class. we phone them with a problem and it's sorted.

And the camera database is total rubbish, they constantly add cameras(eventually)and never take them off the database so you are always getting warnings for cameras that aint there,i,ve had 3 tomtom,s,and i wont buy one again,i,m waiting for Snooper to let you add your own POI,s,and i,ll be buying one of them next.

Tom TOm Go Live if you got the cash, i have the 950 which does everywhere, only issue with tomtom is the rip off prices they charge for live services, as for the device Handsfree mobile is acceptable as well, better than older ones.

Either Garmin or TomTom and you won't go far wrong, although I use Garmin myself
