Ok guys iv got a quick one, iv got an 05 WRX modified and need to know what oil you would recomend for a 5k oil change?

I got car from car people and the engine makes abit of a funny noise underboost now that I can't describe, I'm wondering if they put rubbish oil in it when they did a service? There is no lack of performance whatsoever!

How modified are we talking here and how many miles? what oil have you run before etc?

It has a 3" turbo back decat, decat up pipe, ecutek and panel filter, i bought it 6 months ago at 16k and it's now got 21k on it so I don't know what oil is in it??

 

Oh and turbo xs dumpvalve

 

Anyone?

 

Its not too modified, probably running a 10w40 semi synthetic, you could go for a 5w40 fully synth, or a 10w40 fully synth

Motul, millers, shell, silkoline, mobil 1 etc just not castrol magnatec
