anti lag

Before going any further, why do you think you need ALS? On a roadcar the benefits a proper system brings with it come with a cost that isn't really worthwhile.
If all you want is something that makes a few pops and bangs and scares chavs, you can get an EcuTeK or open source remap - although this will effectively "lose" the PPP and cost you around £500 plus or minus a bit. If you want a proper system you are probably looking at an aftermarket ECU, and, if you use it regularly, greatly increased wear on your engine/turbo/exhaust system. Cost well into four figures - especially when you bear in mind the changes you'll need to make to your braking system to account for the loss of the vacuum servo.
If you simply want better throttle response there are more elegant ways of achieving it on a roadcar.

How come you loose the brake servo?

with full on proper antilag you get positive boost in the manifold and therefore no vaccum for the brake servo and no servo assistence..
I assume the OP is just more after a play and perhaps a slight improvement in throttle response.. I get -0.2bar with mild als on rather than -0.6bar on overrun and throttle response is noticable better when coming back on the throttle.. can feel it on the brake servo slightly.. and with launch control I get 0.5bar boost on launch and with als on 0.8bar of boost.. just on a simtek and newage sti 2litre.

Asked as I was under the impression that with anti lag the ignition timing was altered so it fired when the exhaust valve was open to spin the turbo. This is done to keep the turbo spinning during gear changes etc when the throttle is shut. So how would this produce boost in the inlet manifold unless you are using flat shifting.

the idle valve/ throttle by pass valve is often used to provide air through the engine to help with the explosion in manifold to spin turbo etc.. which raises inlet manifold towards atmospheric rather than vaccum and depending

Correct. However as Simon says you need either the ISCV, jacked open or fly by wire throttle to provide air for that explosion - and also keep enough air mass running through the exhaust system to keep EGT under control.
