Full Lock, Reversing FNS Tyre "jumping"
Since swapping to the dreaded F1 eagles (GD3's) when ever I reverse with any kind of lock I get a scrubbing, then "letting go" jump from the front near side tyre...
is it just the tread pattern (directional v) fipping as it lets go.. or is my LSD causing this? (Does the 2008 STI have a front LSD?)
I never used to get it with the Dunlops

I have the exact same issue with exactly the same tyres since I got a bit over eager donughting in the snow
I have had my tracking checked on advice from Scoobyteknix, as the inside of my front tyres wore massively within a few hundred miles. They advised tracking, got that checked, spot on, chap there said camber had been knocked out, so its back to Scoobyteknix tomorrow for an adjustment by them.
Have you had any shennanigans in the snow with it? Or knocked the front end?
Hope it is my camber, already replaced the tires, and obviously forking out for the camber adjustment.

No I've not had any knocks or anything... It was worse then I realised the DCCD was in manual and locked, so switched back into Auto which improved it but it still does it..
Maybe by locking the DCCD (in the snow I tried everything to get those F1's to grip) I've created a fault on that side?
Whenever I want to go out on a "spirited" drive I have to select "Auto -" now, just to stop the front end skidding all over the place... I assumed it was the tyres.. maybe it's something more.

Mine is a MY97 Turbo 2000 so no DCCD for me to play with/affect things.
I didnt hit anything in the snow, just had lots of fun! But I've clearly knocked something out, as the inside inch and a half of my tire has just gone!
I just hope it is the Camber, the new tires wont last long, this wear occured in less than 300 miles, and they were fairly new.

Cheers all... I'm going to take it to Iain and have the fast road geometry done for starters...
Vash, My DCCD was in "auto" but for some reason (because I'd set the diff to lock/manual in the snow) it remembered the "full lock" even though I was in auto.... missleading I must admit
