Just to give you chaps an update on the drama so far !

Well if you can recall my earlier moans with a rogue importer (supermarket) sort of set up, we are now making progress.

The pressure is constantly on and i have even considered legal action but slowly they seem to be coming round (i think)??

My marreti headlamps are now complete with height adjustment (as a uk spec car should be) and the body protection has been completed properly (again as a uk spec car should be)

The service intervals i can live with, I just need the correct doc's to register my baby with IM

Good news Mate - what sort of body protection are they applying?

Cheers, HB.

The (black wax) etc is known as Waxoil, can be obtained in clear or black and is available from Halfords or most accessory shops at about £18.00 for 4.5lts (I think) excellent stuff, been on the market for years, it`s a wax in a type of white spirit suspension that is sprayed or brushed on. It creeps into crevices and the spirit evaporates leaving a wax coating. Iv`e personally used it for years and intent to treat my new Scooby with it also.
Great stuff and for £18 and a few hours mucky work...carn`t be beaten.

I've just picked up a Belgian import & was wondering if my car would need similar treatment?
If so what areas should I be treating & is it a DIY job or does it require a ramp??

Cool

Nib, and anyone else, Iv`e used this stuff for years when only the "clear" was available. If anyone wants any advice I would be pleased to help, phone 01623 861464. Takes too long to type individual questions on the stuff and how best to apply.
Regards all Bob.

While you MY02 guys are here, has any of you got a ticking noise (sounds plasticky) coming from just behind your right shoulder ?
It started this afternoon, though its only evident on rough bumpy B roads. I fiddled with the seatbelt mount thats adjustable, so I'll see if its the plastic casing that surrounds that that maybe resonating on poor surfaces.

Sorry to hi jack this thread...

Not wishing to go to much off the thread but reading the last remark about squeeks etc waxoil is brilliant for that also as it lubricates adjacent plastic parts, rubber bushes etc and is also "clean", in that it leaves a clear wax coating that can be removed with white spirit, so it is a safe product with many uses. I might add I have no connection with this company, just a very satisfied user over 2 decades. (told you it went back a long time)It`s almost as "owd" as I am. (on a lighter note when I say it`s excellent for lubricating I mean not on a medical or sexual nature!)
Regards all Bob.

Thanks Bob - I might give you a bell sometime about this, as I'm set to have a go in the next couple of weeks. Can't be bothered over Easter, as we're going away. Best way to get the new Scoob run in!

Yorkie Mate. No ticking noise on mine, but I am getting a bloody annoying vibration from the nearside panel in the boot of the 5 door. You know, wher the jack fits. Sound as though some Japanese welder has dropped his torch down into the inner wheel arch....
