stupid question[about servicing]

i have a scooby thats done 9500 miles-my99 it had a 22000 mile service 6 months ago . do i need to have a 30000 mile service now even though its only done 9500? if so why? or do i just get a 7500 mile service? doh!!

It is whatever comes first, if 7,500 miles comes first you get the next due service done, if 6 months comes first you get the next due service done. So I'm afraid it's the expensive one for you if you want to maintain your FSH.

Since you have a low miler and live in London, you may do a lot of short trip urban driving. If so this is actually pretty harsh on the engine and is considered as driving under "severe conditions" same as towing a load, driving in extreme cold or driving in a very salty environment. As such you should definately not skimp on servicing. IIRC the handbook says you should actually have more frequent oil changes.
