A friend of mine has offered me 2800 for my UK turbo, 1999 with 85000 on the clock, in a very reasonable condition for its age.

As prices on the internet vary all over the place, do you lot think its a good or bad offer?

Mot till november and tax til march, but as its a mate ho has made the offer we may sort something out in regards to tax, so could be 2700 in total.

Oh, second question could i get a decent condition 98+ sti for about 3 grand

i think its a decent offer tbh, ive just sold my wagon on a 99, engine rebuild 1500 miles ago vf34 turbo, fmic, 550cc injectors, mani ,ss axhaust and mapped to 360 hp for 2500

twas a bit rough in places especially interior but to put it into perspective ive just bought a 98 sti ra ,70k, advan 18" wheels (400 quid each without tyres) yiha, ss exhaust, coilovers for 3300 and its near enough mint and still speed limited

there are plenty out there at the 4k mark but be very wary, ive seen some sheds

Well thanks for your feedback, I have been thinking its a fair offer but thought i'd get a second opinion.

Im either gonna use the money to buy a classic STi, or put in a bit of cash and get a newer impreza for around 6-7 K. But not sure what to do yet.

Interesting couple of comments.

Perhaps ill sling it on autotrader for a couple of weeks, as i have that sort of time until he will buy (hes waiting for money to come to him from inheritance or something)

See if i can fetch more, if not ill have a second think about it

Cheers chaps
