Question PPP Certificate .. Question and help pls..

Hi there,
I'm looking at another car and it says it has the PPP fitted.. should there be a Certificate and will it say when it was fitted ? Or is it not essential to have it?

Thanks,
Steve

There should be a certificate. I think it says where/when it was fitted but would need to double check mine to confirm.

There should indeed be a certificate. I think if you pull back the carpet on the passenger side you should also find the ECU has a PPP/Prodrive stamp on it.

At the very least I'd want to see a recepit for the installation of the PPP.

Yes should have a cert with the date, mileage etc on it when fitted.

NOt sure about the stickers etc. but there should definitely be a certificate with mileage, date, VIN - got one when I had mine done, keep it with the service book

What if you have a PPP but no certificate? is there a way of getting a duplicate cert? Mine was never sold as a PPP but as far as my insurance is concerned it is and any check i have ever done on it seems to indicate it is a PPP version as well. the intercooler inlet Y pipe is a blue hose i have never checked the ecu. But it made 324bhp on the rollers a month ago that would also indicate this.

Mine came with no PPP certificate.

When IM ran the free PPP promotion on the MY05 cars a lot of them came with no certificate / sitickers etc.
