Default Wheel colour for re-sale?

Hello guys, I have a UK300 with the original Gold 18"s and they are currently being rubbed down ready for the powder coating later this week.

However as im going to be selling the car soon, what colour is the best to go for? I love the anthracite colour, but Gold is the manufactoers colour.

Any ideas or preference?

As it was prior to refurb work:

it will be a personal oppinion no matter what as i would never buy a subaru with gold wheels where as others think thats the only way to have it but i would say anthracite for sure.

Anthracite would look better in my opinion BUT as the car is a limited edition I really think it would sell better with the original gold wheels. I know the engine is modified but at least if you keep it looking standard it may help to sell it.

It has to be gold, You wont lose a sale for having gold wheels but you might be overlooked for having other colours. UK300's are going to be bought by an enthusiast so I would keep it as standard looking at possible.

For the record its an awesome looking car.

Thanks everyone for the input, Gold it is then.

As for the enthusiast buyer then unless they want a Uk300 that appears to be standard although the engine and components are not then im appealing to other buyers.

The car at a glance looks relatively standard bar the scoop and front grilles. The interior is immaculate and standard bar the PSI3 pod mount.

Ive noticed the UK300 seem to go for anywhere between 5-8k depending on the obvious miles, history, condition etc. All these cars though all seem to have anything over 65k on the clock, at least this isnt an issue for muy UK300.

The engine recently re-built engine in july last year using race spec bearing and pistons etc that has now only covered 4k has recently had another overall wth more supporting modes to get it to a comfortable 330-350 with a Brand New VF30, pink inj, Walbro, Sti Up pipe, Sti tmic, 3" stainless etc etc. Its had 4 oil changes in the last 6 months and it purrs and growls on request. Surely this would not put an enthusiast off buying the car?? Its all easily put back to standard with an engine that very soild, and all the part you would pull off sell for good money.

Front pic, no pic of the engine bay yet.

IMHO, YES ! sell the grilles and scoop for extra profit, and market it as improved on original....

Really? I dont think the car will go to an enthusiast anyway. Selling the Grilles and scoop wouldnt gain much profit. Im aware that the market of potential buyers for my car is smaller with the car looking at it does, but I think I'll chance this first with the number plate blurred and then if fails try the approach you mentioned above with some different photos. Im not in a rush for the car to sell but she is definatly going or being stored longterm if it fails to go.

On a seperate note:

Dunx - when is the next group RR day? Headers being fitted next week and remap hopefully same week.
