roof scope
could some one tell me if the roof scope was an optional extra or did it only come on curten cars as i have just bought a p plate wrx sti in blue which i belive to be an RA but as im not to clued up on subaru im not sure is there any way of telling if it is an RA

thanks mate is there any other way of telling it also has a red inlet manifold id post pics but says im not allowed

Only the STi RA`s had the roof scoop the WRX RA`s didnt, i also belive the V-Limited models had them

check the model code on the vin plate which is on the passenger strut, then compare it with the info on this link:

ive just got the vin number of the v5 it starts as it should (gc8) but the rest is just numbers not letters and numbers 6 to be precise is this because its an import

It's not the VIN number you want, it's the "Applied model" number. It won't be on the V5.

thank u all 4 ur help i will try and get some pics up ive also been informed that it is the light weight alloy shell if that helps my aveator is a side pic of it

all shells are the same weight

RA doesn`t have a rear wiper. Down to weight saving like the no air con or electric windows. Although some have these as extras.

v-limited means that it's a limited edition model to celebrate a Subaru victory.....the "v" standing for Victory

should have added based on the Ver III STi with a roof scoop, sports blue, green glass, logo'd seats, logo on the bootlid and numbered plaque on bootlid (one of 555)....
