Looks nice - 99 on an R plate, S&T are MY99 surely not R so older or misrepresented somehow?

£6995 looks a lot for a classic, even an RB5 - imho

£6995 is overpriced. I know of a fantastic RB5 with a range of choice mods for £6250.
Yes RB5's should only be T and a few V plates.

£6995 is very steep for a RB5 - however nice they are .... it would have to be the best one at that price.

Stood out as over-priced or stood out as a good one?

The dealer would take £5750 cash for it within a blink of an eye (if you want it) and if it's the best available. IMO.

Its not worth that much, even if the mileage is below average.

I noticed the SUBARU lettering and sticker on the boot are far too high up

You're dead right:-

Don't know who's RB5 this is, hope you don't mind me using it to show the rear?

I would want to know why the letters were not correct - rear end shunt, maybe?

Like any car, cosmetic items can be added and taken away.

The suspicion is why are the stickers in the wrong place?

When buying a car, the last thing I like is uncertainty - and I would rather buy another where everything is above board and stacks up ......... too many cars for sale to accept anything less than perfect.

Oh noes! Wish I hadn't seen this thread - I'm picking her up on wednesday!

No mention in the history I saw of a bump (though perhaps that wouldn't be a suprise).

#346 apparently no entry for it on the RB5oc website though.

Its my first Subaru so I hadn't noticed the bumper lettering stickers thing..

Me too! I dont think any of the Holdcroft group would knowing sell a nail, my folks have dealt with Holdcroft Saab for the best part of 20 years now and have nothing but praise.
As far as identifying it as a genuine RB5 any advise? It had the numbered plaque and gear ****, anywhere else it should be or any RB5 owners have any idea about chassis numbers?
Will ask on RB5oc..

It's not over-priced because it's a standard example ..... yes, if it had been messed about with it would be cheaper.

Enjoy, in the knowledge you have a sound investment - just don't change it!!!

Well not walked past it quite... It had more miles on the clock (though not massively more) and the body work was okay but let it down in a few areas, couple of small dents, fading/dull paint work (not to mention there was a lump of wood lodged in the unside when I looked underneath!). Put them next to each other the RB5 seemed better for the money as the GTA was 1.5k more..
Plus I've owned an Alfa before and know the trial and tribulations (and horrendous service costs) it can bring too!
Yup the Alfa was beautiful but the RB5 aint ugly, is just as fast, cheaper, less miles. But then again, the Alfas interior was sublime and it sounded great....
Damn it why have you said this to me!?
