To all Scooby drivers who have stone chipped front ends
Firstly i must say i do not work for this company or have any other links to them in any way this is my personal opinion only
I am telling it as it happened so i thought i would pass it on
If you are impressed then make your own mind up
Dave
My car was looking a bit sorry for ware with the amount of stone chips on the front of it.
Trawling the SIDC forums i noticed a thread about a company looking for a demo car to use for a photo shoot and makeover.
Well after sending in my picys it was mine that got the offer.
Big thanks to "Frenchy" who posted the thread on the SIDC by the way and sorting out the contact details for me thank you
Having made contact with Chipex man Johnny Graham we spoke about a time and day to suit us all
I also gave him the paint code for me car as well so the paint was already made up for the make over
So had a drive to their base in Banbury near Prodrive (nice) to have the work done it was wet all the way there so the front was very dirty when i arrived
I must say i was a bit unsure as to how this would work out. The unbeliver in me
So drove here Chipex
Met up with Johnny Graham from Chipex nice bloke as well, also very informative in the ways of working with the kit
When he cleaned and looked at the front of me car he said "what the ****" big big pause "just what i wanted a pepper pot front end lol".
I thought he was going to say "its to bad" and forget it.
But no he started cleaning the front with the old soap and water and a micro fibre cloth as you do, and then got to work with the parts from the kit
As some of you MSOC lot know the front was like a pepper pot full of holes.
Well here is a before picy of the drivers side
Pepper anyone
After about 45 mins this was the result
Here is an after picy of the drivers side
Roll up and down over both picys you will see the difference quite well
I must say the photographer took loads more picys but i only got these two from Chipex
I have some more i took and will post up later got to get them on photobucket first
Hand on heart there was no trick photography involved here
Johnny did the work himself while i watched on
We also had a great burger and bacon french from a local burger bar with farm fresh meat yum yum
No spray painting was carried out at all
It was just the kit that they sell
I will say that for the price they sell the kit it does a good job
You need to put the effort in and take your time but it does work
It is not a full respray i make this clear to you all but a good quick fix for stone chips. For the price its worth it
So if you cannot afford a full front end respray try it out you will be as supprised as i am
Make sure you give them the correct paint code for your car it matches quite well i must say
A big thanks to Johnny at Chipex had a great day out and a tour of the factory as well.
Very impressed at all the different paint colours in stock.
Popped into Prodrive as well to catch up with people i know there. Be rude not to you know
I will put a link to this thread on the SIDC and P1WOC as well

yep, u fillin the chip with the paint provided which is an exact colour match, then u spread it flat with the rubber glove, let it dry n then u use the paint remover fluid, which is basically a watered down thinner to remove the excess. If the chip is deep repeat the process. Then polish it up.
