Default 60 Month Service Cost

Hi,

Anybody give me an idea of how much a 60 Month Service should be for a 03 WRX. Just been told £630. Guy said it's a big service, fluids, filters, oils, plugs 3-4 hours.

Had belts done at 48 Months and cost £450, so wasn't expecting that quote.

Thanks.

i take it you mean miles not months?

Yes the 60k service (every 30k) is actually bigger than the cam belt service.

it should be something like:

plugs
diff oil
gear oil
engine oil/filter
air filter

etc, basically all the consumables and the oils aren't cheap.

Shop around though, you should be able to get it down to under £500

Should add i had the cambelt done at the main dealer for £300 so you were scamped a bit there too. If you join SIDC most dealer give you at least 10% off so that easy covers the joining fee.

5t.

Thanks for the reply 5t, I did mean months, but that was going on stamps in the service book, the car is due a 60000 mile.

I have a UK Spec import, so it feels like I get scamped every time by the main dealer.

I have recently had the 72 month / 60,000 mile service done with cambelt.
total cost was £400 at central Subaru who came recommended by another member. I would def go back there again as the customer service was very good, cost was reasonable etc etc.
The service was a discount rate due to an offer but even the usual price is cheaper than you were quoted , I think it was still under £500.
I'd be shopping around if I were you

They're having a laugh at £450!! The only things needing changed per Subaru UK 60 month service schedule are engine oil & oil filter as you've already had the timing belt changed - the rest just needs checked. Maybe they're trying to charge you for the timing belt again?? Anyway pay no more than £150. Trouble is Subaru dealers are in a desperate situation - the cars are average, they're too expensive and they're not selling so they need to get their money from somewhere else!! Good advice already given - shop around...

I was talking about the 60 month service but you've listed the items for 72 month service. Do you work for Subaru dealer???

not really, just got a qoute for my 60 month cambelt service and that was coming out at £470. and i'd imagine the tensioner will need doing (£160 apparently) so that'll be a bit of a kick in the *****.

a specialist will save £100 going on the link posted and i'd guess that is down to a lower hourly rate, so the dealer price isn't wrong. dear, but not wrong.

You've missed the point - he's already had the timing belt done on an earlier service.................

not really, your comment was that at £450 for his cambelt change he'd been ripped off. i was just pointing out that the price seemed about right for a main dealer.

vozaks service schedule seems a little mixed up though, maybe that's why we're getting crossed wires?
