Default To$$er in a Skoda

Was driving round my local town the other night and noticed a Skoda Fabia stuck right up my ****, pulled up to a junction at a roundabout with some traffic lights on and he pulled up at the side of me.
Anyway I looked over to see 2 lads (both looked about 12) and a lass in it, so I slowly crossed the roundabout with him at the side of me until I got onto a duel carridgeway, then he put his foot down, so I floored it too leaving him behind. (Didnt go past 70mph by the way, I didnt need to)
Parked up a few mins later and he parked up opposite me, so I went over to see what was up. Said his Fabia was running 200bhp (TDi) and that I should come back in April when he was getting a P1 and that they are 320 bhp as standard (to which I laughed) and that he was gonna fit a bigger turbo and a front mount and then he was gonna show me a thing or two!!
He also said that he was paying over £2200 for insurance for the Skoda and that the P1 was only £80 a year more!!

Looking at the spec for your car he's gonna need a big bank loan to catch you up. To get 200 out of the Furby he must have swapped the turbo at least. With a FMIC, turbo, injectors and map he could push 240 with over 400 lb/ft of torque which makes it quite a potent little car. Mine runs 180/312 with just a remap, and did 30-70 in 6s (verified using a Racelogic Driftbox timing device). They are a good car, but nowhere near a mod'd Scooby.

I'm running a modded Ibiza TDi 130 and tbh it's not as quick as a standard scooby at 220bhp like a Turbo 2000.
It's running a remap, FMIC, straight through 3" exhaust (no cat or back box lol), intake ect..... and i'm pushing a genuine 178 bhp and TBH it's rapid for a deisel, keeps up with tyre r's ect.....
Saying that a standard Scooby isn't that much faster but a modified scooby would kill an ibiza with just 180 bhp.

Have to be careful round our way - There are a couple of Fabia VRS that the traffic police use. Always have to look twice whenever I see one.

That was another reason why I thought the guy was a tw@t, be didnt even ask what power my car was running, he's just assuming that when he gets his P1 (if he ever does) that ots gonna be the fastest thing on gods earth!!
My car is running approx 440 bhp so as Corradoboy said, hes gonna need a big bank loan or a rich daddy to get anywhere near!
Bloody chavs!

I laugh when you get the Saxo brigade etc. trying it on. At my age I know you really shouldn't, but sometimes.......

Remember, the car might not have such extreme capabilities as yours, but don't underestimate the driver unless you know he's crap. I have kept up with mod'd Scoobs on road and track in my Furby, but a Police driver I used to know would have handed me my own @$$ if I were in my old Scoob and he were in an Astra diesel. I remember Dazza-STi off here having trouble from a Furby over Snake Pass when he was in his mod'd Atom 300, and Dazza is no slouch behind the wheel. However, he always admitted that on public roads Scoobs were quicker than it too, but on track they never knew where he went.

A mate of mine is a pretty handy driver having competed and done well in amateur rallying and 3 times in the Rally GB as a privateer. I was with him once a few years back and we were in a Renault Megane Scenic (don't ask why) being followed by a then new BMW M3.

As soon as we hit some nice country roads the M3 driver was ready to pass and get on his way only for about 15 miles he couldn't get near us as the road was made up of lots of short straights and nice twisty bends. He could catch up to us on the straights but we just left him behind through the bends.

It was a bit of a wild ride and ended only when we had to stop for fuel. The M3 pulled in behind us and I was wondering whether he was about to be all arsey, but not a bit of it, he just wanted to meet the guy who handed him his **** on a plate in a Scenic LOL! Went away shaking his head

Dazza is no slouch behind the wheel.
Me and Pudders69 went for a comparison run with Dazza in his Atom. I was in my Classic running 313/300 and Pudders was on a GSXR 750. I was nothing but a dot way behind them. Pudders - if he had thrown caution to the wind, could of had the Atom but it would of been crazy to do so. I've never seen another car as quick point to point on the road
