Default PPP pack on late uk classic shape

Still looking for a suitable late uk classic to buy, and have seen one advertised with the above pack and wondering what it consists of?

IIRC it is intercooler y-pipe, decat mid section, back box and I guess mapped. Think is is about 240 ish bhp. Should be able to find all required info on the Prodrive Site.

Surely that creates hassle around MOT time?

Also, it appears to have different brakes, different wheels, and obv the bigger rear wing.....any probs fitting the o.e. 6 spoke wheels over those brakes?

And hows that bhp compare to non PPP?

I have PPP on my RB5 (1999), which makes 240 bhp, up from 215 bhp on the standard version. Intercooler pipe, Prodrive exhaust (still with a cat), Prodrive ECU are the main power additions, all other bits were cosmetic - big wing etc. Other options included suspension and brake upgrades.

Quoted power figures for an my99/00 car is 237bhp on unleaded fuel (they recommend super) and 250bhp on super.
Pack consists of Y piece intercooler pipe, ecu, cat back echaust, center decat replaced by resonator box and prodrive rear backbox (there should also be a certificate to prove its an original)

I had this on my Classic.
Highly reccommended, makes the engine more torquey and transforms the car over the standard set up.
Makes the car sound a bit more sporty as well
Did not affect the Subaru warranty at the time.
As Tony say make sure you have the certificate.
Some owners buy the ecu 2nd hand and install it themselves make sure the car has the uprated intercooler pipe which should be branded Prodrive.
The car will legal and pass mot in this set up.
Just inform your Insurance that it has the Prodrive ecu.
The ecu has been programmed for the standard air filter, not any K and N cone type filters so check the car does not have this fitted.
(K and N panel filter ok)

No hassle come MOT time, as long as the cat in the downpipe has been retained. Sounds like wheels are after-market, think you could buy a prodrive wing but again may just be any after-market item that you have. PPP on the classics is a decent kit, though of course you can get better. You should find it 'better' than the modest power gain might suggest, since torque is increased and spread over a wider range.

Fitted the PPP to UK MY97 last sumer. Just checked the emissions pre MOT (friendly with the garage). Took it for a good thrash first and had no problems at all.

Run on super unleaded and the gains in torque are well worth while. The car is much more responsive and driveable and is as the car should have left the factory in the first place.
