Your car, your choice, but the one Subaru fit is there for a reason, and is recirculating for a reason.

Take advice from respected tuners on here rather than Joe Public

As Alcazar says. Unless you want your car to sound stupid and probably loose boost.

Leave the standard one alone - unless you fancy spending lots of money

Why don't you get a recording of said noise and have your passenger play it each time you lift off the throttle

I have a forge one on my MY99. Its been on there for about 3 months with no problems so far. Its not very loud but you get a bit of a noise.
I will be honest and tell you I only did it for the noise, I like the pssst sound.

I dont think I have gained or lost performance since fitting it but its only a 5 minute job so I can change back at any time.
If you can get one cheap enough give it a whirl and see what happens. Even if it made you car stall you can change it at the side of the road in 5 minutes with minimal tools.

Leave the standard one on, I'm running over 450hp & still use the standard valve, that should tell you something.
