Default Hello! I'm new!

Hello! I'm new. My 17th birthday is coming up, and what does every 17 year old want? A car. Now you're probably thinking, 'roll out a Subaru Impreza for him'. But I didn't want a sports car like everyone else I know, I wanted something different. I found several Subaru MV's on ebay, (also called BRAT's) but they were all really far away from where I lived. I live in Suffolk, and the vehicles were in places like Notinghamshire, and Gloucestershire, so I wouldn't have been able to collect them easily. Does anyone have/know of one for sale that's closer to Suffolk?

Thanks for the help,
Jack.

No thanks, I don't like the look of it. I'd still prefer an MV.

I know! All the ones that were on ebay are rusty/rotten, and the one that was in good condition was near Wales! I don't mind dents and scratches, it adds character to them!

i went and looked at an L series scoob a couple of years ago, (the roofed mv) and the seller told me it was really solid had no rust, got there tapped it in a couple of places and it was full of filler, looked underneath and the bottom rails had nearly snapped in half. so i know what your going through mate.

Yeah, they rust under the rear wheel arches. The good one on ebay had been waxoyled when bought new, and was in fairly good condition, but the others were not so great.

I don't know. I'm not sure if they'll help, bearing in mind that the newest MV is a 1993, which is 17 years old!

I'll have to go there and ask when I have a chance. Also, the Subaru garage near where I live isn't an official Subaru dealer, it's EMG motor group. Will they still be able to help?

They should be able to advise you on places to find what you want, their Subaru connections must be of some use.

I take it you've already tried EXCHANGE AND MART ETC?

I've tried eBay, autotrader, piston heads, general google searches, and the only vehicles available are really far away!

Have yo tried the Independent for Suffolk?, the website seems to sell Brats. just having a nose now. It's a Utility vehicle isn't it, they need ya post code though so have a look anyway, there are also Brat clubs to try, someone's bound to have Brats for sale on there.

Just tried their website, and there aren't any for sale at the moment. Do you know any websites for MV/BRAT owners that you can post here?

Thanks.
