Anyone know this P1....?
2000 SUBARU Impreza P1 4WD
If they are indeed, minor cosmetics, then its a bargain. However it does seem very cheap.
My gut feeling says no and its well below my budget, so should I even consider it. Is it worth a look? What do I need to look for?
Thanks

Why is they all seem to have been rebuilt, in my search I obviously want one that has been rebuilt but Im unsure on the reasons why and indeed what I should be looking/listening for when viewing. Im guessing a lot of slapping.

i like p1s myself and its hard to find an proper answer but the bigends go due to crappy oil pump, this is common on alot of classics but the p1 seems to be the worst they usually go b4 50k -its a disgrace really, what you need to look 4 is a rebuilt engine with an uprated oil pump, i was close to buying one myself but i wondered why they all had an engine rebuild at 50k, in the end i bought a tommi mak

Lot of posts on here about this P1 is based on Jap STi Ver 5 (short version of long story) so prefers 100ron fuel - most UK owners were unaware so used 97ron ergo regular stories of rebuilds. It must be said though that you only hear about the rebuilds & not the ones that are fine so it's probably not that much of a issue really.

the most common reason for a p1 rebuild is due to fueling, i believe a remap sorts it and makes the car reliable. I think that car was for sale on here just before xmas, it had been taken in p/x and the new owner was asking £6500 and it was up in scotland.

I have heard enough about them over the years to put me off ever looking.
I suppose it's like anywhere you get the good and the bad but the stories I have heard tend to be bad more than good
I did have a S1 that was once from there (I didn't buy it from them) so I am being slightly hypocritical.
