Thumbs down

Well the impreza went today, and since I've been messed around no end with several skylines (though none connected with this BBS) I've had to buy a run-around. Anyway this morning a terrible racing green rover 620TI was delivered by an old gent who'd recently aquired a company car...

Actually the Rover isn't too bad for a cheap car, much more refined than the scooby on the motorway, but ultimately a bit old man for me. Lots of toys and fair bit of go though...

Anyway I guess I really need a new car so I don't end up with a flat cap, pipe and slippers permanently So if you know of any nice R33GTR's for sale, prefer a darker colour and major modifications ... Otherwise any suggestions for modification to the rover. NOS maybe

I've just got an old Saab 9000XSi to save the commute miles on the Scoob.

All the stuff the scoob should have 'lectric seat heaters, heated mirrors, trip computer etc. etc. .............butit just don't go.

Surely you don't want to modify the 620 - 200bhp going thru fwd, in a chassis set up that was never that brilliant. They were good in a straight line, but it's the rest I'd worry about.

Still I reckon the old 620i has to be one of the ultimate 'Q' cars

If it's any consolation I have gone from a MY00 Turbo to an 02 Renault Clio 1.2 16 Valve.

Sad I know but I haven't missed the Impreza for a second. Got a years free insurance with the Clio and it is averaging 40 MPG in town and 48 MPG on the motorway.

Impreza ownership averaged £700 a month for the 22 months I owned it which was rather excessive for a car I use to drive 5 miles to work in.

Clio is quieter, smoother, has no squeeks or rattles and doesn't have a clutch that judders first thing in the morning.

Know how you feel, I have a 1989 Eunos Roadster now and really miss my Scoob. Hasn't even been good enough weather for me to take the roof down, although I do get a fair few waves from cute female MX-5 owners

As this thread is about not having a scooby, shouldn't it be in "non-scooby" related?

Rev Counter - Car is a 96, would be looking at sensible offers. Mail me if you are interested. It won't be for sale until I've found a car.

Had more fun today following a 205 GTI round some twisties - the Rover didn't disgrace itself
