Default Remapping Prodrive ecu

Would it be the same price/procedure to remap a PPP ecu in comparison to a non PPP ecu. MY01-05 STI

After MY06 the prodrive ecu is locked with ecutek and you have to pay for the licence, as I found out to my cost. So looks like you have had a result.

The prodrive map on the 02 on cars is loaded via ecutek software using a load once licence arangement.. when the car is mapped by an ecutek dealer it will need an ecutek standard tuner licence added and therefore is the same cost as to remap any ecu.

However the 01 prodrive ecu is different and needs some minor work before it can be mapped but again can be mapped with no issue.

Hi, I could be just reading this wrong (eminently possible), however this doesn't appear to hold true for my early 05 STI 2.0 PPP. I can read/flash it with ECUFlash and edit the images with Romraider without issue. I've heard that my pro-drive ECU is essentially an Ecutek, however there are no restrictions/locks on it. Maybe mine's just an oddity.

So a WRX 06 with PPP can be mapped?

My car does 20-22 mpg all the time would a re-map make it more efficient?

Even on motorway driving 85/90 mph drinks like a fish.
I thought evo got 28mpg out of a PPP 06 WRX Hawkeye?

Not really that worried as the car is a performance car, but it must be running very rich.
