Hi,

I want to get hold of a small front number plate for the motor but can't seem to find one - I got a square one from a motor factors the other day but it's like a motorway junction sign it's that bl00dy big!

So... any ideas?

Maybe even a sticker would be OK... Salsa, you up for number plate stickers?!

Matt,
I had a small front number plate made at GGR, it was a while ago though, dunno if they still do them.
Have a look at my 'CWest grille' thread in the member's gallery, although the number's are blurred out, the pics give you an idea of the size. Hope that's of some use to you!

How about motorcycle text? Would that be small enough?

Don't see how they can be. The Regulations stipulate a specific size for the numbers/letters so that must govern the size of the plate? Check out the DVLA site.

They are not legal for road use plus I know a guy who runs Group N Imprezas for people (TMIC) who swears that a small plate cuts down on the airflow to the intercooler. He suggests keeping the plate standard size and space it out 10-12mm to be just proud of the bumper lip above it to maximise airflow.

Mickle

Yes you can as long as you maintain correct font size and spacing. Mine is only 5 characters and looks fine.
