Please help advise...
...me on tyres
Ive read through recent poll and it indicates that the standard bridgestone potenzas 050's are not up to much with you guys who have had the imprezas longer than me?!?! And the poll on one thread listed the Goodyear F1 Asym and Toyo T1-R as joint favourite
Had T1R's on 888 Astra CDTi and were good...but probably only good due to cost being minimal etc ?
Question for bridgestone 070 drivers...are they really shocking in wet?? I guess better than R888's etc but need to replace two front tyres soon...and thinking of putting on 225's (standard is 215 but told will fit)
So please help...
1) 225 potenza 070's (and put them on back perhaps? with 215 at front?)
2) F1 Asymetrics (215 standard fit)
3) Either Toyo or Ultrac sess ??
HELP please...only owned wrx for few months so need expert advice lol...cheers in advance

I'll be trying Ultracs on mine next.
If it is mainly for the road, remember that our roads seem to be wet quite often.

ive got the ultac sessanta mate currently getting a set for the rear try Cheap Tyres Discount Tyres & Japanese Import Car Parts Spares Tuning Performance Servicing Accessories :: for a good deal. goodyear eagles are also good i had T1R's on my clio sport and i found them soo bad i ditched them after 5k miles and they still looked new.
as i said i have the vreddys and i wont going anywhere else now.
the steering and the ride comfort is excellent as for wet grip. "i didnt know it was raining thats how much grip they have"
Turn in is now so sharp i nearly kerbed my wheels driving out the parking lot lol.

No the RE070's are not shocking in the wet, they actually clear water very well considering where they let you down a little (and put it this way, I had 2 sets on my spec c ) is on the slightly greasy surfaces, but in the wet you can still motor along quite happily
Oh and dont even attempt to mix tyres, its either 4 or nothing unless you want to end up in a hedge/ditch/stone wall etc.
Not sure where you get the 215 on RE070's from though, they come in 225/45/17 or 235/45/17, though the latter are quite hard to get hold of (there is an 18 inch version but its only available in japan )
