It could be 220 bhp or 260 bhp check the model code at SIDC FAQ . I think you will find the answers to your questions there..

I think you'll find that the colour is the same as the Series McRae limited edition, and was possible called Rally Blue

Hi,

I have a WRX STI V-Ltd (97 P) which is 280 standard...

Have a look here http://www.iwoc.co.uk/jpimp4.html from that it looks like the one you are looking at is similar power.

You can see mine at http://www.scoobylou.com

Hope that helps

Lou

96 (N) would make it pre facelift as the facelift appeared in Sept/Oct 96.

Check the applied model code number on the chassis plate.

GC8C4ED 275 (319N-m) WRX STi2 4 door
GC8C4ED 275 (319N-m) WRX STi2 555 4 door
GC8C4DD 275 (319N-m) WRX RA STi
GC8C4DD 275 (319N-m) WRX RA STi2 V-Limited

Don't mean to put you off, but we looked at one of these cars (which was in stunning condition) but were advised not to buy it as so little was known about this model! The VIN plate indicated it was just a 4-door WRX (260hp I think) but with nice seats and a numbered plaque and I couldn't find any further details about it than that on the internet or from other Scooby owners! Definitely not an STi...

Wink

Thanks everyone,
Have written down every thing to take with me, I'm very tempted to buy as I'm keen to get a scooby, but I'm in no rush so I'll proceed with caution.
Thanks again for all your help.

Thumbs up

Don't let Chris put you off!! (he's my bloke.. )

We couldn't find out much about it, but we asked on IWOC (Steve Breen's excellent e-mail group) and the final conclusion was it was probably a standard WRX in "drag"! Which to be honest, is not a bad thing and they are excellent cars Just make sure you've got somewhere good to service it, and check out the insurance (big factor for us as I'm only 23!) as it's more for imported vehicles, esp. if they've been modded...

Most important thing - Have FUN!

Jen

Edited to say I can forward all the info I got from IWOC if you'd like me too! e-mail me if you want me too...! jennifer.rees@hants.gov.uk
