DIY.
Buy the tins from a good motor factors. Even Halfrauds do tins of Finnegans Wax Oil with Hammerite.

A white painting suit, ramps and your away. Dirty job but worth it.

How badly needed is this on Imprezas, Ive never had to wax oil any other of my modern cars. Is the underneath of these cars so susceptible to rust and corrosion ?

Thanks

You will find that the imports will be more prone to this.

As stated an easy although a bit of a messy job check mine over and re-apply every year although I find in past experiences its a job best done at the back end of summer during a hot spell power wash one day apply the next.the atmos and underneath the car is wet/damp now and getting cold now and waxoil sets more or less solid in the can so keeping it fluid especially in the larger pump action tins can be tricky.not a problem if your car lives inside mind..mine is a MY00 classic wagon and more less as good as new underneath a couple of tins of clear waxoil and a paint brush to splash a bit of engine oil here and there keeps the salt at bay.On a classic make sure you clean and apply a bit of protection behind the rubber strip on the rear wheel arches..

Yes, and make sure its dried totally underneath before applying Waxoyl as any trapped water/moisture would be worse than not undersealing at all!!

Getting a car pressure washed in below and dried totally in this wet/damp weather will be very hard unless you can put in a heated garage after and blow out and thoroughly dry out all areas in below

I reversed mine on to ramps then jacked the front up,
I find garden blowers good for drying the underside (as well as the top when its winter lol),
Then whipped the wheels off and did the arches separate.
