Default Ebay Idiots

Was looking at some sti heads on ebay, asked him to confirm that they had solid lifters as sti should and this was my reply

"I do feel you have been mis informed standard wrx have shimed lifters sti's have hydraulic lifters these heads have the straight bolts for the red inlet manifold wrx manifolds are offset, hope thus has been helpful
Danny"

That's the risk you take with eBay. Many of the folk selling stuff are too dull to know exactly what they're selling, and then there's the crooks.

Take it that it isn't these? Worth a laugh, unless you're thinking of bidding.

"Removed from a 03 STI covering just 45.000 miles" indeed. Must be from the period when Subaru was using invisible AVCS actuators...

most people seeling stuff on ebay are rude ar*e wipes. when u ask them questions about parts they either dont know or send u rude messages back. i sent a question regarding gearbox ratios and the reply was too rude to tell you about. wouldnt buy anything off there anymore

I have also been asking questions of this seller and got some more photos from him.

Looks like only one of the cams is from an STi ? (has the 4 'stripes' running around it)

Should the numbers on the inlet and exhaust valves end in a '3' if they are STi 5 heads ?

They were listed and ended early last week, just wonder if whoever agreed to buy them investigated further before paying !
