Info needed please, should I fit my ALK or not?
Hi Guys
Could I please get opinions from those who have used/are using Whiteline anti lift.
My car is having BC BR series coilovers, 6-5 springs iirc, 24mm rear arb & 22mm front arb fitted Monday.
The guy at the garage has said not to fit the anti lift kit as he believes the car will be too harsh on the roads and adversely affect the handling.
I'm not looking to track the car, but do want the best handling I can get.
I'm also running Ultac Sessanta tyres 225/45/17.
I have already bought the ALK.
Cheers for any help/opinions you can give me guys.

I think the problem you'll have is having so many handling mods done at the same time you'll not know which bits you like and which you dont.
I have the ALK on mine and love it but I do track it occasionally to and it helped the overall package of improvements. My personal view is that the ALK and a wheel alignment are the best value for money mods going.

a specialist i spoke to the other day, couldnt say enough about the whiteline alk. hence, i got one ordered up, and it is also being fitted on monday. he done pukka wheel alignment and that alone made such a huge differance.
i dont see why whiteline (as a company), would invest countless hours and god knows how much money on developing something that is rubbish.
and ive only ever heard good things about alk's .

HT04 - It's not the part is rubbish, far from it, I have experienced scoobs with it fitted to standard suspension, and they handled great, their point is that with coilovers and thicker anti roll bars, in their experience they have found the alk to make the ride out on British roads poor and cause the car to skip about, they did however say that its a benefit on the track.
What works on smooth doesn't always work on the bumpy stuff, that said I am inclined to just fit it all as these are the first guys that have advised against it on the road.
Any other ideas/opinions welcomed.

If you've already bought it all then fit it all. What's the point having it sitting around on the shelf when you've paid for it?
I fitted the lot to my last classic myself it's only a couple of hours to do. Then I had Mocom set the geometry to their track spec settings. Best money I ever spent
ETA - I also had coilovers. My classic was stripped out to the max and did not skip on rough roads. It was planted and direct. I'll be going for the same setup on my current classic sti when funds allow.

mneame - I would fit my self but I don't really have the tools or the right area to do this (used to use a friend of mines garage but he's shut up shop).
I see your point, extra work extra money, thing is I would go all that way for just the alk to be fitted, only traveling as they are offering a good price for a lot of work, plus round here I have to travel minimum 3 mins to find a specialist.
