Hi All,
just wondering how much i would expect to pay for full respray of my mica blue scooby,fed up with looking at white scratches and chips everywhere.

Kind of a "how long is a piece of string" question really. Having said that, you could get a respray for under a grand, or well over £2000 - it all depends on how deep your pockets are & how good a finish you want.
Best thing to do is get some recomendations about local bodyshops, go & get a quote & have a look at some of the work they are turning out.

I think Urban is trying to say that unless the car is prepped, ie rubbed down etc, then the paint job will look cack. If you are paying someone 2k to paint a car, it goes without saying they will prep the paintwork prior to repainting.

Again depending on the sort of job your after, personally i would prefer the rubbers/window surrounds etc were removed where alot of bodyshops will just mask them up and paint to the edge.
Could also be an idea to do a bit yourself to keep the costs down e.g. removing rubbers etc as mentioned above.
Also seems to depend where you live, my friend was in the trade in the Ayrshire area in Scotland where a decent respray at the time was around £1000-£1500 whereas the same job in southern England was costing up to £5000.
