Default Idle problems... please help

hey, i recently just brought a wrx 93, as a project car. got quiet a bit too do to it, when cold it doesn't like to idle. i have to rev the car to warm up. once warm the revs stay at 1500 rpm but if turned down idle screw, it fatuates and cuts out

got single piston dump valve, could this be the problem? can ne1 help, enlighten me

Try cleaning the icv theres a guide on here could also be the coolant temprature sensor

You shouldnt have to adjust the idle screw the first thing i would do is bin thedump valve then check the icv and then the mass air

it is likely to be your dump valve as it needs a twin piston DV to operate correctly, I would suggest replacing it with the standard equipment.

cheers guys it had this fitted when i brought it now just to find a twin piston any recommendations? where could i find the icv thanks
