Toyo Proxes Problem ??
Ok this might sound a bit daft, had a couple of Toyo Proxes fitted 6 weeks ago.
Got home parked up in the garage as normal got out of the scoob to close the garage door and noticed there was a definate pong in the air, (very similar to muck spreading).
After sniffing around for a while I found the source of the farmyard pong was from the new Toyos.
The smell of the tyres is that strong you can smell them walking past the car when its parked up in the open.
At first I thought it was just down to newness of the rubber, but after 6 weeks but the pong still remains.
Anybody else had this, is it normal for a tyre to smell like this.

As strange as it is - I was gonna put up a thread similar to yours ( was giving mine 8 weeks ) saying pretty much the same.
Glad to see I aint the only one.
How do you find them - and please dont say you look at the wheels on the car and there they are...........
I think the dry and wet grip is pretty decent for the price - but might be trying the sessantas next time?

Scoob is running GSD3's but I've used T1-R previously on our 944S2 and RX8. All of them smelt like...... tyres.
Check the 4-digit manufacturing date stamped on the side to see if they may be old stock (?)

God I cant beleive this!!! I thought it were just my tyres that stink!!!
When they first were fitted you could smell them from a few feet away. Done about 1k miles on them and the smell has reduced but its still there.
Ive never had tyres that smell like horse **** before !!
