AFAIK, only with a store less than 5 miles away, not off the internet.

I paid £42 from da police. It would have been less, but their accountants had just reminded them that they had to charge VAT.

Try before you buy as there was a link a while ago about problems re differences between disklocks and scooby steering wheels.
My 02 fits a small (fits wheels diameter up to 39cm) and rotates around the wheel nicely

I think they are one of the best 'physical' mechanical deterrents. They are not impossible to get off, but it will take a good 5 mins and a bit of noise to get it off. I'd hope by time my alarm sounds (even if for 15 secs while they rip it out!) the Diskloc would give me chance to run down with a bat!

You can get discount if you tell insurance (Thatcham CAT3), but I have not told them. If you tell them you have one, and you don't fit it, and the car gets nicked they can refuse to pay out.

Be careful with sizes, at some point in manufacturing they CHANGED the sizes. Some older SMALL ones are atualler SMALLER than newer SMALL ones!!!! Best to try if you can.

I got mine from ebay, chrome one, complete with case and the 3 keys for less than £30.

£30 you've done well. Mine's just cost almost twice that.

You reckon 5 mins to remove. Crikey, not long eh...

There was a gearstick steel rod type inserter fitted to an old scooby I owned, the name of which I can't remember. It locked the gear stick in position and I always thought that very good indeed. Perhaps that would thwart them for longer?

Regards to insurance, I personally not tell them you have one but still use it.

If you tell them and they give you a slight discount, and once you forget to put it on and your car gets stolen, they may argue the fact and not pay out.

I use a steering lock, and I have not told my insure for that fact.

The one I was trying to remember is the Dipol gearlock. It deadlocks the gearstick into reverse.

Cost is ~£170 + fitting
