Resonance under acceleration - advice please
#1
Have full decatted mongoose fitted and have recently notice resonance from the engine bay under hard acceleration. I think that I have heard of similar issues with Brake/Clutch metal hydraulic pipes resonating against the bulkhead. Can anyone shed some light for me and if this is the problem suggest a cure (lagging etc).
Thanks
Geoff

Yup. Used to happen to me on changing gear at higher revs. Find where four grey metal thin pipes come across the front of the bulkhead (below the windscreen) and bend them slightly away from any nearby parts, e.g. the bulkhead, brake (?) fluid reservoir etc. Do a search for postings with "grating" in the title - should find it

Hi Geoff,
I had a lot of probs with res on my MY98 (Ash's old car, say no more )
Just pop round take me out and I'll have a listen. The mechanic in the compound where I am sorted mine out.
