Virtual Instrumention VI Monitor Problems
I have a VI monitor and whilst it worked fine on my UK 2006 Hawkeye WRX (with an Ecutek remap), but it cannot connect to my JDM 2002 STi S202, when plugged into the OBD II port it tried to connect but never manages it.
I have contacted VI and basically to cut a long story short I have been told tough if it will not connect then I am stuck with it and either sell it or use it as an expensive USB memory store.
I have tried it at the weekend on another 2002 JDM Impreza an NB-R variant but it would not connect to that either and today it would not connect to a V5 JDM STi either.
All the JDM Imprezas have factory standard ECU's so I cannot understand why the VI will not connect as all the cars comply with the OBD standard.
Just a warning that if you are thinking about buying one then it might not work with a JDM model so try it on the car first before buying one, if you do have one fitted to a JDM model and it works can you post up your car details so that I can have another word with VI.

No sorry I haven't but it is supposed to work with all OBD II compliant cars.
So I understand as I was thinking about selling the VI and going for a Scangauge instead.
