Hey,

Is anyone else having problems connecting to Freserve Offpeak? It's normaly quite good but last night and tonight it seems to be constantly engaged, I connected earlier and it must of taken at least thirty attempts!

I don't know much about PC's plus it's my dads so I can't really change servers etc, your thought would be appreciated but please keep them like me, simple!

Isn't the Offpeak package the one for £8.99 a month - what is it like Bob? I was considering this.

I've just gone for FreeServe Anytime. £12.99 a month for access any time of day. The advantage is you are just billed on plastic by FreeServe, and don't have to **** around joining BT's Surf'n Turf as well which you do for the off-peak one. FreeServe use a separate IP network, so I suspect this may drop in price. The access is OK so far - occasionally have to try a few times at peak times. Occasionally had 48kBs connection. You get dumped after 2 hours on both.

Yes, I e-mailed freeserve yesterday about exactly the same thing, they replied saying I should use the freeserve help files to solve the problem
Since I registered for hometime and surf together (£8.99/Month) It takes several attempts to get on, it will just sit there doing nothing it's very bad at peak times.

Bob

I have Off-peak Freeserve and I also suffer the same problem, It started happening after Christmas and now I can guarantee that I will not be able to connect at least 2 days of the week. It is always engaged!!! , I have put it down to them doing loads of work on their servers etc.
Still not happy though, considering moving elsewhere.

Muddy.
