How much are you charging these days to cut hair?

If having one of the fastest cars on the track makes me a hairdresser.. dunno what that makes everyone else

I was about to write something about the loop in the exige, but I must defer to David on that one! It felt wonderful in the exige as a passenger, and Blowdog seemed to enjoy larging it in the Evo, too.

Also makes for top photos - see Josh's pics of the Canine Fellator.

DocJoc, I arrived late and missed the briefing. More overtaking and less crowded - I hadn't thought of that, but it was certainly true of the day. Hmmm... it looks like the loop is winning so far!

I love the loop!
But I am biased because I had hardcore brakes. For those that didn't, I can imagine it to be a pain in the **** for brakes and tyres.

It took me a lot of laps to get the Melbourne hairpin right....... Throughout the day, gradually every other corner felt so right but every lap, almost without fail, I came into the hairpin with too much speed, wrong line and just understeered my way round with waaay too much noise from the tyres!

By mid-afternoon I felt I'd 'cracked it' - the in-car video shows a dramatic improvement over my early attempts, so yes, we DO like the Melbourne loop....

....fried 2 sets of pads though......

As mentioned by everyone else, increased overtaking opportunities and meant the track was less crowded than when doing the National circuit.

Will be even better with a brake upgrade!

Great reading from Donington on Sunday. It's seems to be getting a bit competitive out there, guys!!!

But this is the first time I've driven the full circuit, including the Melbourne Loop. I can't say that it added anything to the experience.

Two more blind corners, brakes smoking, tyres screaming and got my arms all tangled up. I can do without it.

What do you say?

Richard Hopkins

PS It was fun lighting up the rear out of the hairpin in second, though

Gus - Dave's was the Exige. Hairdresser car it ain't! You'd knacker your coiffure just getting in and out of the thing, which is akin to posting yourself through a letterbox.

It may be plastic, but it was damn fast and I loved it to bits. Thanks again, David.
