Unless you have a had your mapped for meths or any other additive octane booster, you wont get any significant performance improvement.

Worst case you could damage your engine.

Time wise I would think mid to late 12secs for the 1/4mile, assuming your power figures are roughly correct!

Standard figures are around 13.4 on a 1/4 mile, if you hit low 13's then thats pretty good

mine is not mapped for uk fuel..so could damage it without any additive.
still on jp map,and never missed a beat when giving it stick.
just car should not run under 100ron,am i wrong in that..?!
and 2 r/roads reading roughly the same would suggest that p/figure is about correct.
and all -r owners clubs say p/figure is right

I wouldn't recommend running your car when it's still not mapped for UK fuel - the damage could be catastrophic.

An Octane Booster from the likes of Millers will help but really you should be saving the money from going on the strip and putting it towards a map. It may go well at full chat but that doesn't mean it's healthy.

Just my 2p.

one problem jk99......mine cant be mapped.
it needs a new ecu,as this year is un mappable...
and its been ok for the 2 1/2 years its been in the country.
and given it some stick since ive owned it (over a year)it bounces of the limiter quite well..
thats why i need a good octaine booster or meths,so the ron is the same as jp fuel..!

Back when this car was made japan wasn't running the higher octane fuel anway, so V-power, being 99ron should be fine, no problem. Mine is a '98 GT-B and I run it on V-Power not had any problems (also not re-mappable).

cheers arumdevil...
as you said,"never had a problem"
i can bounce mine all day long, dont see what a 1/4 mile can do if it dont go bang on the 2 mile stright i drive every day..and have to floor it to get out of the junction..
but think i'll put a octaine booster in just for "fun"
and see what times it brings..
