Funnily enough, it doesn't say anything about no cat at all!

Doesn't affect me because my engine is from a 1991 model so doesn't need a cat anyway

So how will this affect both official PPP cars, and cars fitted with PPP cats? Do they count as approved?

How they going to enforce this... think we are safe for a while yet. I'm still to see one of these legendary mythical spot emissions check anywhere north of Watford.

They aren't mentioning the possibility of no cat at all!
It's like everything else in this country, you only have to worry if you're law abiding. If you are well outside of it, you have nothing to fear.
All you need a caravan to live in, and they won't touch you.
The snitches are the MOT people, they are being recruited to act as the eyes of VOSA, who are next to the Gestapo when it comes to acting for the general public. When you go for your MOT, anything not pukka will be reported via the computer link. Next thing, you're having your collar felt when your ride is picked up by ANPR if Plod is having a slow day.

its just gonna refer to garages that are now fitting parts, they get the fine, if the cars already fitted there is nothing they can do,, theres still gonna be " not road legal" versions available..... the stamping is in a location where it can be seen on a ramp with a date stamp,

down side is the exhaust companys are gonna use it as a excuse to double even tripple the price of cats again

i went on a course about this a few months ago and the company that i done the course with was one of the people working with the govenment for sugestions and reasons why its needed
