Which is the model most suitable to modification to achieve a bhp figure in the 300 to 400 range?

I am looking to spend approximately GBP 8000 on a 2002 to 2007 car.

I currently own an ST220 with a naturally aspirated 3.0 V6, which I will be looking to swap / part ex

What is a reasonable expectation to be able to extract from this engine power wise?

For a 8k budget your looking at blobeye sti`s about 04 age. With PPP there just over 300 bhp standard.
