Brand new to this site as I am currently looking to purchase a Subaru Impreza and am looking for some advice.

Are there any known faults or problems to look out for when searching for an Impreza?

Which is the model most suitable to modification to achieve a bhp figure in the 300 to 400 range?

I am looking to spend approximately GBP 8000 on a 2002 to 2007 car.

I currently own an ST220 with a naturally aspirated 3.0 V6, which I will be looking to swap / part ex

I have been looking through various forums and threads and it looks like I will have to get a 2.0 WRX.

What is a reasonable expectation to be able to extract from this engine power wise?

For a 8k budget your looking at blobeye sti`s about 04 age. With PPP there just over 300 bhp standard.
