Thumbs up

Hi All,

Was driving up the multi story car park in Watford on Sunday, had to stop in a queue and heard a boy, about 10 years old, say "wow daddy it is one of the scoobarus (sic)"

That is what i like to see, the new generations learning young to appreciate the finer cars in life

Cool

Happens quite frequently around here! Often pointed at by school boys and you hear them say "Subaru!" ...one of my collegues was accosted by a mob of them as he was unloading his car the other day, they actually ran over the road saying "excellent car mate!"

Saw a little lad at the weekend playing with his remote control Scooby WRC car gave him a thumbs up as I went passed and he looked well impressed

Makes me smile to see the enthusiasm Can only be a good things for Scoobys in the future..

I'd popped out to the shops yesterday, and was looking at a pair of shoes when a guys came over and said "Nice car mate" and then proceeded to tell his girlfriend that "That's the guy with the Subaru!"

I'd never seen this guy before - and had been shopping for about half an hour at that point. Needless to say my mates found this hilarious and spent the rest of the day announcing to shop assistants "He's the guy with the Subaru!"

The price of fame eh

Cool

I have two boys aged 4 & 7 and they can spot a Scoob from a mile off .... You can hear them shout "Scooby" before I've even noticed them coming! They even know if it's UK or import as it goes past That's my boys

Jo (female WRX owner)

ps. Sadly, they can also spot an EVO from the same distance and take great pleasure in shouting "EVOOOOOOO" too

Having taken my new Scoobs down to Southend on Saturday night I was pleasantly surprised by the reaction. There must be plenty of regulars and anoraks among the crowd because I heard "Look there's one that hasn't been down here before" amongst other comments on more than one occassion.

There were only three other Scoobs that I spotted one black, one white and one I couldn't quite make out (sorry).

There were loads of cars down there (by my estimate well over 100), mostly old but modified and plenty of very nice examples among them. Unfortunately there were also some very sad posers.

I'll admit to opening the Turbo a couple of times but mainly as I'd spent 20 mins or so idling and trundling so I was protecting the engine (honest guv).

It was a tough call between a Scoobs and an Aston but I think I've made the right choice !!!

My kid hated my Nisan 200SX. But ever since I've bought my Scooby, she keeps saying "daddy!! CAR!!". Oh yeah she's about 2 1/2 now.

Ah...they're all late starters...

My 18 month old niece has started to recognise the sound of my Scoob coming down the road

Good to see the future of Scoobyism is in safe hands!

Went to get a paper the other sunday morning.....

A couple of young kids playing football in the slip road outside the papershop said "Nice car mate", I said yes thanks, and don't hit it with your football (while smiling at them)... They said "OK" then just stood there waiting on the pavement when I was in the shop, only carried on when I had driven off nice kids (about 10years old), if only all kids had a little respect for property

Mind you me talking to them, and being nice about it, may have had an effect.....

My wife helps at the kids school and the other day she took the Scoob up there. One of the classrooms looks out over the car park and she heard some of the kids in a debate. One of the boys came up to her and said Mrs Pettitt is that your Subaru? Beck's said yes and the kid turned to his friends and said I told you...

The lad who delivers the paper is a big Subaru fan - I've let him have a good look round mine, and he wants to buy it off me when he's old enough to drive(!) He's got a few years to save up for it though as he's not quite 15...

The best kid type response i ever got was from my Dutch mate who is 35 and 6'7" i he ran out of his house when he heard what i had bought and still hassles me now for a drive (fortunatley for me named drivers only and thats only me and the misses).
Driving round ireland i almost had a following fan club and the looks from some of the nova boys was often quite worrying.
