Strange noise when accelerating ?? HELP !!
when i put my foot down on the accelerator pedal, not nessecarily going fast, just like normal town driving, up to 2k revs, there is a strange noise coming from the engine.
its like some sort of squeeking noise or squirting noise, possibly fuel injectors ??
and no its not the pedal itself squeeking, its coming from the engine, its like more of a squirting sort of noise, i don't know im no mechanic, any help massively appreciated,
cheers nick

He means air in the cooling system. I was getting this for a while until I noticed a bit of furring round one of the turbo coolant bolts. Removed the bolt cleaned it and the washers put it back together and thankfully not hearing it again. The air was being drawn in when the engine cooled through the over flow tank.

Can you get it to a local Subaru specialist ?
It might be as simple as a air leak on a vacuum pipe or a suction pipe which would be an easy and cheap fix if it can be found. good luck mate

you want to take it to Ric at RE Motorsport at Elvington, 30-40 mins from Hull, Better than any dealer IMHO.
