Well its illegal to start with, front windows are too dark and you would end up getting fined if you couldnt take it off there and then, then the body kit.... hmmm and he wants 10k for it...... well errrrrrrm some mug may buy it, but 10k will get you a decent motor

ALSO THE PRIVATE PLATE WILL BE INCLUDED WITH THE CAR... P300 SUB!!
THIS HAS BEEN VALUED AT £3,000 AND IS PERSONALISED FOR THE CAR:
P = PRODRIVE WHO DESIGNED THE CAR
300 = FOR THE CAR'S MODEL.. UK300
SUB = OBVIOUSLY FOR SUBARU
I didn't realise that Prodrive designed it.... Just thought it had a PPP on it?...
P.S. That spoiler is HORRIFIC!

I think Ross was extracting the proverbial Dave. Hasn't this car come up for discussion round these parts before? It certainly looks familiar.
As for Prodrive "being involved in the development" of the UK300, the UK300 wasn't really "developed" at all. It was nothing more than a standard WRX with some bits pulled more or less at random out of the parts bin and bolted on after the cars arrived in the UK.
Little more to it than an attempt to put a bit of gloss on the bugeye and generate a few extra sales, which had otherwise been a bit poor.

Body kits will always be a 15 year old's wet dream. Seriously horrible motor.
Was the UK300 not tuned to 300bhp by Prodrive?. I thought it was that that gave it the 300 tag not that there was 300 of them?

OMG..... What was he thinking when he had that done ??? ONE OFF !! lol
bet your a** its a one off ! there is no way 2 people could do that to a car lol.
I love this bit .....
" I HAVE BEEN IN TOUCH WITH MANY MAGAZINES OVER THE LAST 2 YEARS AND I'VE BEEN TOLD IT WOULD DEFINITELY GET A MAGAZINE FEATURE AND POSSIBLY ON THE FRONT COVER "
Which magazines you think he rang ?? lol loved to have heard how he described it to them ....

The WRX 300 is around 260BHP (265PS) IIRC. My sis has one, best thing about it over and above a WRX PPP are the seats. Seats

Not quite Ross. You're mixing up the WRX300 and the UK300. The former was the runout blobeye one. The UK300 was a 2001MY bugeye. The one at the centre of this thread, assuming it is what it is described to be, has had a blobeye conversion done.

Even his wheels got him ripped off....
I got mine from Scoobyparts for £600. NOT £2000 ! That would buy two sets of Toyo R888's....
At least it doesn't bring shame to the bug-eye community, as it's now a blob.
LOL

Pretty much the same though. The UK300 was limited to a run of 300 but was LESS powerful up from 218bhp to 245bhp.

He's spent some money on it, but in all the wrong places, no need to spend £4k on PPG when it's running 265BHP or then to sell it with this box.
Strange that it has a FMIC and TMIC!!!

Extra weight for better traction!
I assume it wasn't plumbed in due to fact the car would need a remap afterwards... But what a complete waste of bloody time and money...
"SUBARU NOW ESTIMATE THAT THERE IS ONLY 100 OF THESE CARS LEFT ON THE ROAD."
Way to go to ruin one of those!

Quite. He majors on the fact that it's a limited edition special, one of only 100 left yada yada, but ignores the fact that limited editions tend to maintain their value and exclusivity best when they're left original. He's got rid of all the bit that marked the UK300 out as unique.

What you have got to look at will be the invoices for the car
He says he has spent a fortune on it and i dont doubt that he has.
But when you check the invoices i guess most of these will be for labour and not the parts
same mistake most people make when saying how much has been spent on a car.
