Where's best to sell my Spec D please?
Hi all
I considering changing my 56 plate Spec D with 37k miles, is it best to advertise here, Ebay, Autotrader or other please?
Any idea of a reasonable value. It's in good condition with a couple of chips/parking dinks but nothing else.
Thanks
Mark

If you advertise on here, you will unfortunately get plenty of doom mongerers telling you there's no market for these cars and that their mate saw one near to where their uncle used to go fishing and a bloke there got one with lower miles /better spec / condition than yours for lots less. As above, though. Do your homework, know its value, adjust that for your mileage and condition, then put it on Pistonheads. Best of luck with the sale when you get around to it. How come you're selling?

Thought about selling my 56 plate SpecD, but with 81,000 miles on it I've decided its not worth selling, and also its probably the best all-round Impreza out of the 5 I've had. Going to keep it for another 12-18months at least.
Good luck with the sale.

Thanks, I'm still slightly undecided, as replacing the car will cost me around £12k - I'm looking at 320d touring as they seem to tick all of the boxes. Can't really interest myself in the likes of the Accord tourer or Mondeo tourer.

The trouble is, that if you love the car and are only really thinking of changing for mpg reasons, then the £12k difference is an awful lot of petrol.
I dismissed changing for exactly that reason.
If you fancy a change of car full stop then fair enough. Any reason for a touring ??
Spec D to a diesel estate is a bit of a difference, especially as you seem to be undecided.

Well all, I traded in and got £11k for the car against a 320d M sport on a 58 plate. Happy with the deal, as I don't have time to host tyre kickers.
Thanks for all of the help and advice over the past 18 months.
I will miss waving to other Imprezas, but won't miss my Optimax bill!
