ANYONE USED LITCHFIELDS NEW GARAGE YET? NEW TURBO READY?
As the title really, anyone been there?
I've been poorly and out the "oop" for 3 months or so probably missed on the Grand opening LOL
When i last spoke to Litcho and Jenny at Brands hatch and Japfest 2009. They mentioned the new garage premises coming along nicely
But Iain so doesn't "Brag things up", so i imagined it would be just a little bit bigger than his old Showroom with a little "Tinkering" workshop
So when I got a brouchure through the post today i was truely gobsmacked by Facitities and full garage services he was able to Provide
Any news of the new 400bhp Twin scroll Turbo?
Tony

Yes... I have been and used the facilities of the Litchfield Imports workshop!
Very clean and spacious....... even Litcho managed to get his hands dirty!!
Test mules of new turbo should be sufacing over the next week or so apparantly.

When I spoke to Iain last week, he suggested the first batch would come through in a couple of weeks time. This being the first production run.

got styreplococus infection in my knee I went to Mexico a few weeks ago OK but mates left at work got swine flu
No due to work/illness/Holidays and Personal stuff it's been a really @@@@ first 6month of the year so I've not sorted anything out,
IIRC Scooby shootout has become the Scoobysprint, the only one i could make was the Final. I did bring some lovely weather with me last year
When i collect my car I'll try and get a sneaky picture of the new Turbo

Glad you like our new place Tony thought the courtesy car was perfect for you, WR Blue with White stickers!
New Turbos have finally arrived and I’m really excited, it’s been a long time coming. We’re just having speed sensors installed into the first batch so we can start testing next week. We have some really detailed comparison testing lined up over the coming weeks for both the 2.0litre and 2.5 versions
I’ll put details on our website later this week along with our new injectors

Does this mean that Litchfield and Powerstation have had a parting of ways?
Thought that Iain was on the import and sales side of thing while Powerstation did the development work for the T20, T25, etc. and did all Iain's customers servicing etc.
I guess Lichfield has decided to go it alone? Guess that put a few peoples noses well and truly out of joint

Litchfield Imports and Powerstation have always been separate companies but we worked closely together and shared the same site. It was a simple business decision for us to move on and I don’t think anyone’s “noses will be out of joint”. PS are still be good at what they do and I’m sure they’ll remain busy because of it.

I was well aware that yourselves and Powerstation are completely separate companies. Thinking about it from a business perspective it does seem the right way forward to bring it all under one roof as it could end up saving you a lot of money. I'm sure you didn't pay customer rates at PS but they'll still be more than what your own crew can do it for as they have all their other overheads to deal with.
That said you were probably putting a lot of business in Powerstation's direction which I'm sure they'll miss? But as you say they are a good company with a strong reputation so should continue to succeed.
Good luck with moving things forward, hopefully one day I'll be in a position to come and discuss buying a T25 or whatever the latest hyper performance Jap car is (Lichfield GTR? ).
