Default please help locating fuel level sensor

after going to subaru and being told vaguely that the fuel level sensor is under rear seet I need a bit more info. It's 55 plate wrx300 blobeye. I need to change the part and the guys at my local breakers have several cars but don't no where the part is. Can anyone help or even better have a pic of part. Cheers Daz

I reckon it will be the same as a classic, in that case it comes out with the pump..

In the fuel tank and access is via the boot! You will see it attached to the fuel pump bracket!

These will get you to the pump & therefore the sender unit as well.

rang dealers earlier, apparently there are two sensors, one at either end of tank due to it's funny shape. Last question, are these sensors actually inside the tank then? Or can they just be changed via the inspection pit?

yes,if you've found the "inspection pit" just unbolt it and lift the whole assembly out.its all in one piece as in the picture above.
