Default RUSTY OLD NUT!!

ok here goes!
i got a u.k my99 2000 impreza
just bought some front brake discs as she needed them, done the job before on my old wrx and as i understand you remove the bolts holding on the brake callipers?then slide off callipers and the discs come straight off. The bottom bolt was a bit rusty and dry but came out,
the top one is a differant story!! put loads of wd40 all round it but will not budge, broke my 17mm ring spanner banging the hell out of it still not budge, tried differant spanner but it started to round off the bolt

put all back together as been up all night and need some sleep before i killl somebody !! any ideas guys? if i dont reply later its coz i`ve slept through. thanks in earnest.

Heat and maybe a impact driver. It will shock it loose.

Whack it with a hammer. a) The shock can break the rust binding together, b) will make you feel better

are you sure you need to remove the caliper, in the past i have taken the pads out and have "wiggled" the disc out.

My local garage uses Supercrack mate - freezes bolts and lets em get the seized ones off- they swear by it.

Do you know anyone with a battery impact gun? Could you take it to a local garage take it out with an air gun then put it back in for you. Could you borrow a breaker bar and socket of someone?

Dont hit it with a hammer. Only a knuckledragger would do that. Try heat and the impact driver. Or even a socket that grips the flats of the nut (most cheap sockets grip the corners and then round off)
